Why is being kind not enough?

Wow, you always do get I thinking, Mrs W. (And that, in case you're worrying, is West Country speak. Not proper English, like wot Mrs N speaks - she's right proper, don't you know ;)

Unfortunately, in a dog-eat-dog competing world, kindness just isn't enough to fend off dorks, or to put food on the table?

I dunno, Mrs W. Please be kind and put me out of my misery? ;)

I prefer kind to nasty; I have unfortunately seen too much 'nasty' in my life :(

Well,sadly,it is easier to be nasty than kind.

Thinking of the homeless, you can be kind to those less fortunate, but that is not enough to really help them. Personal service, working to ensure that people become capable of caring for themselves, is far better.
