Answers

1.) I joined when EP closed and this site was suggested as it was shutting down.
2.) It didn't meet my expectations. I don't know how it is now since I haven't logged in for two years, but there was little to no activity going on in this website so I got very bored and went elsewhere.
3.) No, it didn't give me things beyond. But this website just wasn't for me.

Thank you. Yes, the site wasn't always quickfire like others. But it had its charm.

Ep shut.... I followed a Member called Vicki Prince.
Yes and no.... In the early days the moderators were over zealous. Ok so they didn't want the sleaze of ep.... But.... Can you imagine it even i got warned by the moderators 4 or 5 times... Even i Had questions removed...... It was difficult times....
Yes..... People.....

So, you're a bit of a rogue are you, Mr D... Always did wonder ;)

Rouge no....experimental boundary pusher yes.

Like Disguised, I followed Vickieprince when EP shut down. I joined SW but that site was another sewer, just as EP had become. (I am using judicious blocking now...LOL!!!) I adored this site. Everyone was so polite, everyone seemed kind. I was upset by the tiffs I witnessed. A couple of people I liked ended up leaving, and I was never able to understand (or agree with) their issues, but...well...people are people and they feel the way they feel. I have met such good people here, and, after all, that is why most of us join such sites. I was able to write stories, which is important to me, and all in all this site became my "home".

You were very much a bedrock, Rolle. Hugs.

Hugs. :)

I think ChipmunkErnie told me about this site. And then he was kicked off.... I joined to have fun, chat, etc. I like this site a lot and hate to see it go.

I have a sneaky feeling that ATM might just take over where here left off.
And, if we want the odd roller coaster session, then there's always Smut World ;)

I remember Chippie from EP :) but not here

1. Joined it considering a replacement to EP.
2. It was definitely very less happening in comparison to EP. But I also got busy in work and was not able to give much time, so it was ok for me.
3. Yes, I would say, 'Peace of mind'. How? Firstly the people here are too nice, secondly the content(stories/questions) are not aimed to cause unrest in your mind. Although some posts had made me think a lot, but they were genuine.

I think you captured its plus points beautifully :))

I joined this site way before E.P. closed as I knew of someone that knew someone that was starting a new site.
In some ways it did meet my expectations as it gave me something different to S.W. There are no kids on here (a plus for me), the conversations were never reduced to sending di8k pics and I think all the regulars on here are genuine people just passing the time of day.

I love how we all come from different walks of life and yet here we are all conversing and friendships being made.
Not sure it gave me things beyond but I have made some very good friends on here, for which I will be grateful.

:))

The answer to my own question is that I was only on EP for about 12 weeks before it closed. And EP was my first experience of any such online sites. I had a couple of personal issues at the time which I was trying to settle/understand, and I met many on EP who were able to help. I also loved the debates on EP, sometimes opinionated and raucous, but usually conducted with some modicum of respect (actually, on reflection, this is stretching the truth rather nostalgically - they were often spitting bear pit fights!). I was there at the final curtain on EP and it was an amazing feeling, almost Titanic. I joined here, like many, thinking open debate and a wide mix of people would be here. My 'poetry' was coming out of my head incessantly, part of a reaction to being unable to save my next door neighbour through CPR. It was on EP when I first met Mr D. I also got to know Devon at the same time. Two great friendships were in the making, all of us leaning off the other at times. Devon tried to make a safe inroad here but a 'misunderstanding' occurred, as some of us may recall. Many of the EP refugees were fended off as the moderators tried to maintain the secure protection of the site's ethos. Perhaps, as we see from other comments on here and SW, they were too limiting. Who knows. Friendships just grew and grew here, hugs shared between us as we each came to need them, a fairly active poetry corner, the occasional spat, and a few departures, but ultimately a site where you didn't expect to do a double take on someone's invective comment or mail. And of course, having that safe haven 'M' after my username, I never got to receive any requests for any 'pictures'. You ladies do have to put up with some diaper loving dorks it seems. But not here, at least not as far as I know. Did it meet my expectations? No. Did it give me things beyond? Yes. Some treasured friendships.

Distance memories Mr V... Knobbyknees will never forget.... I to was struggling with life.... You gave me a hand to hold... A beacon to follow..... I mean you actually liked my poems... Lol... You gave me happy minutes in my darkest hours..... Thats all i needed to pull through... Now lets write a poem...

My first line is below... Its too good to waste

You gave me happy minutes in my darkest hours.

One poet to another, the pleasure was ours

Because I needed or wanted a new VIRTUAL home, after the demise of EP.
Which by the way, still hurts! Too many friends lost.

I really appreciated reading YOUR answer.

The start of R2T was a really SWEET time for me. VERY much so.
And until some of my best friends left here (or were kicked out);
I was very much content.

I am really unhappy that the Admins on here have deleted ALL of my mail, which has to do with the members who had left.
I mean OMG. The memories. The stories. The love. The anecdotes. The jokes. The HEART TO HEART. ALL GONE. ....
THAT is very tragic for me. Very.
And bc I have memory issues, I trend to rely on stuff like that.

Oh well. All good things come to an end.
